Hey y’all, Carol here! I was off the grid for a week or so, but i’m back!
I had the amazing opportunity to sail the British Virgin Islands with a group of my best mates and let me tell you, it was a trip of a lifetime. We stocked the boat full of coronas, wine, snacks, sunscreen, swimming necessities, fishing poles, and of course lots of bikinis. Our crew caught fresh fish(which we sashimi’d that night!), sailed with dolphins, swam in the blue waters of the Virgin Gorda Baths, had a little too much fun at the famous Willie T’s, and piled on the boat nets drinking wine and telling stories under the stars. I couldn’t feel more blessed to have these people in my life and have the opportunity to experience different parts of the world with them.
Every sunrise and sunset we put on our theme song of the trip : Miles Away (Acoustic Version) by Years Around The Sun (LISTEN TO IT!)
“and our minds were meant to sail
take a rest from our thoughts
take a break from this world
and we’ll feel miles away
from the places that we used to be”
I’ve been feeling inspired and awakened by this trip and I want to encourage you all to take every opportunity you can to travel. Whether you may be tight on money or have other reasons that may be holding you back, do it anyway. I promise you won’t regret it.
So i’ll leave you with this: What a man can do and what a man can’t do. For instance, you can accept that your friend is a pirate and a good man or you can’t. But pirate is in his blood, so you’ll have to square with that some day. I can let you all drown, but i can’t bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not? Not all treasure is silver and gold mates, so don’t forget the rum!!
Cheers(Mates),

December 20, 2015 at 7:29 pmThanks love! I just shot with my iPhone! I didn’t have enough room to bring my Canon, so the iPhone was my camera for the trip. A few of them are from a GoPro as well!
