Savannah, GA is a short 2 hour drive from Charleston so we decided to take our families on a little road trip for a two day vacation! Carol had never been to Savannah so we were excited to explore the city and all it has to offer! We got the opportunity to stay at the pent house suite at The Alida Hotel and oh my word, it was nothing short of amazing. We truly cannot recommend the Alida Hotel enough for your next trip to Savannah! It will not disappoint! Check out all the details of our stay below!
The Room
The Alida Hotel was gracious enough to put us up in the most STUNNING rooms ever for both of our families. We instantly fell in love with the mid century modern decor & beautiful touches throughout the hotel.
Can we please take a moment for this bathroom?! Literally the bathroom of our dreams covered in marble, metal & the most amazing clawfoot tub we’ve ever seen.
The Penthouse Suite comes equip with the coolest fridge of all time, a spacious living room and wrap around balcony with fire pit. Unfortunately it was raining most of the time we were there, but we had about 30 minutes where it stopped so we sat outside and enjoyed the sunset on the balcony. It over looks the river and has the best views of the big bridge!
We both agreed this would be the PERFECT spot for all you bachelorette parties looking for a place in Savannah to celebrate with your ladies.
The Lost Square
On top of the Alida Hotel is their beautiful & swoon worthy rooftop bar. First thing we noticed other than the stunning views was the gorgeous tile, I mean can we have it all over of house please?! This was one of, if not our favorite place to sit & relax in the hotel. The drinks were amazing & make sure to get a couple snacks to nibble on like the charcuterie board & whipped ricotta! We want to come back in the cooler months so we can sip some cocktails by that fireplace!!
Dining With Rhett
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Rhett is the cutest spot located at the bottom of the hotel. We ended up having dinner here our last night & it did not disappoint. We started with the whipped ricotta (so good we ordered it twice), fried cauliflower & our personal favorite, mussels & fries. We loved the atmosphere & it had the cutest little bar with a diner flair.
WHAT WE DID
First morning in Savannah we had to make a stop for breakfast at The Collins Quarter. This place is a must when visiting Savannah. Our server Eli was seriously amazing and made our experience that much better!! The atmosphere is on point, food is delicious and coffee is strong. Can you ask for much more?!
Walking around!
After breakfast we hit the streets to explore downtown Savannah. We stumbled upon the most beautiful parks & the cutest shops. Make sure to check out Forsyth Park & the most cutest neighborhoods that surround it. It reminds us a lot of Charleston with gorgeous streets everywhere you turn.
There are a million little shops to stop into so get your walking shoes ready! Savannah is also home to SCAD, so we popped into their beautiful building to see their interactive show they created. Loved all the art throughout the city!
Ice Cream!
Ice cream is a fan favorite in our family so we had to stop by the famous Leopold’s Ice Cream. There is a crazy line for a reason! Such a cool spot in Savannah with amazing history & delicious ice cream.
Pool Day!
Just when we thought the hotel couldn’t get any better, we stepped into the pool area. It is the perfect spot to relax, read a book in their cabanas, or take a dip into the refreshing pool. Great place to take it easy on those hot summer days!
Although our trip was short and sweet, we had the most amazing time & will forever cherish the memories we made together as a family. Thank you to the Alida Hotel for hosting us, we will definitely be back!!
Cheers,
K&C
